It’s a simple question but not always an easy one to answer...sorry!

Weddings Abroad Prices

In my quest for a “guideline” answer to this question, independent Travel Experts Holidaysplease very kindly came to my rescue. They put together a list of wedding abroad prices for some of the more popular wedding abroad destinations.

The table below lists the typical ceremony costs for 2009. I have put further information on what is included in these costs is at the end of the table.

Malta	£1200	Good for weddings in autumn or spring
Austria	£600	Great if you want a white winter wedding and mountain backdrops
Iceland	£800	Dramatic volcanic scenery and perfect for something a bit different
Cyprus	£600	Cost effective but with high standards
Greece	£200	Great for large parties on a budget
Turkey	£600	Nice if you would like a mix of cultures
Czech republic	£1900	Up and coming wedding destination. Great gothic buildings and castles
Canada	£1000	Good for great backdrops such as the rockies
USA	£600	Versatile destination with anywhere from Vegas to Florida. Easy language for ceremony.
Caribbean	£1000	Very professional and perfect for guests who would like a nice holiday as well
South Africa	£1000	Good if you want something different and combine with a safari honeymoon. Also good if want winter wedding with good weather
Kenya	£1000	Good if you want something different and combine with a safari honeymoon. Also good if want winter wedding with good weather
Sri Lanka	£500	Great if you want to explore nature. Also good if want winter wedding with good weather
Mauritius	£400	High class Indian ocean destination. Temperate all year round.
Seychelles	£400	Jewel in the crown of Indian ocean. Very high class hotels. Not many better places if you want a luxury honeymoon afterwards.
Maldives	Can only do a blessing	You can’t get married in the Maldives but you can have a blessing.
Thailand	£700	Good for winter wedding. Also provides good variety for wedding guests. Whether they want a beach holiday afterwards or to trek into the jungle
Hawaii	£800	Great scenery, wildlife and no language complications.

As a little caveat to the prices above, please also remember (although I’m sure you’re fully aware), weddings abroad prices do also depend on a number of variable factors; the region you would like to get married in, the time of year of your wedding, the number of guests attending, your personal tastes ... the list really goes on and on!
