Celebrating your wedding at Schloss Prielau can be compared to champagne - it is extraordinary.

Castle Prielau is located in the beautiful surrounding of Zell am See and is run by Anette & Andreas Mayer.

Anette is experienced in all aspects of Wedding Planning and will fulfil all your wishes to ensure you have a stunning wedding. Andreas is one of Austria’s most renowned chefs, running the 2 Michelin Star MAYER’s Restaurant at Schloss Prielau and has attracted the attention of specialised press because of his innovative cooking style.

The castle can cater for weddings for up to 80 guests and can be rented exclusively for up to 28 guests. If additional accommodation is required there are a number of hotels within walking distance of the castle, which is surrounded by a big park. From 2011 a new building will be able to cater for weddings for up to 200 guests.

Approximately 200m from the castle is a magnificent lake where weddings can take place at a private beach.

Both winter and summer time are beautiful at Zell am See. In the winter you have the option of combining your wedding with a skiing holiday and in the summer you can enjoy nature and the lake with many sporting activities like golfing, walking, hiking, sailing and fishing.

Anette has organised more than 100 weddings over the last 5 years and can provide help with all of the following and more:

• Legal Paperwork
  
• Book dates for your legal service and / or church service
  
• Organise the legal wedding at the castle itself
  
• Flowers, Musicians, Horse Carriages, Fireworks, Wedding Cake, DJ etc
  
• Accompany you and your guests throughout your wedding day.

In Feb 2009, we filled the entire Schloss with 25 of our closest friends and family for our winter wedding. Anette arranged everything with extraordinary attention to detail. She and her team had the rare ability to always be on hand without ever appearing intrusive. Much to Mayers' credit, they have a team of exceptionally loyal and charming staff, many of whom have been with them from the outset. Everything was beautifully understated but done to absolute perfection from the lovely sleigh ride, the stunning flowers, the wonderful photographer, the fabulously fun hunting horns band, to the exceptionally talented musicians.
