Our Magical Wedding in Dubrovnik

My husband and I were really pleased that we chose Dubrovnik Event to organise our special day for us. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer team of people.

Ines was fantastic and was always quick to respond to our emails and answer all our questions no matter how big or small. Everything was discussed and then agreed, from our flowers to whether I’d like my make-up and hair done on the day. We had every confidence in Ines and we weren’t disappointed with anything she organised for us; she really is a star.

We decided to have our ceremony at the Sponza Palace, take a boat trip around the harbour with our reception at the Excelsior on the Palm Terrace. Ines suggested we have an afternoon wedding so we could see the sun set over dinner. This would also save money, which was perfect, as we wanted to keep the cost of the wedding down as we’re saving to move house.

At our pre-wedding meeting we talked through what would happen on the day, viewed the venues and discussed weather contingency plans. This made us feel at ease, as we knew before the day that everything would still be perfect, even if it rained.

On the day Ines and Marin ensured the event ran smoothly, despite the rain, and every aspect was professionally handled. All our guests said how well the wedding was organised and how they loved the fact they could enjoy the day and be guided around the city.

Veronica, the wedding photographer was amazing and our album of pictures is really special. The Excelsior hotel is amazing and the food to die for. I’ve never been at a wedding where the waiting staff offered you seconds. The staff were incredibly friendly and we loved our bridal suite and complimentary chocolate covered strawberries with cream and bottle of Champagne.

Dubrovnik is a truly magical place and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer setting for our wedding. Everyone enjoyed themselves so much that people are already booking their next trip to the city.
