Hummingbird Hall is a boutique mansion located on Montego Bay's exclusive Rose Hall Estate. Conceptualised by a British novelist and her Cambridge University educated daughter - Hummingbird Hall weddings combine local knowledge with British elegance, sophistication and attention to deal.

A reaction against the clichéd weddings offered by chain hotels; at Hummingbird Hall the Creative Director and her team of decorators and artists create a unique and custom wedding concept for every couple. Whether intimate and romantic, tropical, formal, nautical, Hollywood Glamour or even Nintendo (yes really!); the Creative Director and her team work tirelessly to create a wedding concept which is as unique as the couple.

With a strict one-wedding-a-day policy, fabulous menus (international and local), custom designed centre-pieces, the possibility of Jonkanoo dancers, butterfly and dove releases, poetry performers, jazz ensembles, reggae bands, children's entertainers and more; there really is nothing like a Hummingbird Hall wedding.

And, because the delight of Hummingbird Hall really does extend beyond its gates; a golf cart photographic tour of the lush Rose Hall Estate provides couples with the opportunity to luxuriate in the Estate's waterfall, historic ruins, lake, panoramic sea and mountain views, flowers and fauna after their nuptials.

We wanted to thank you for making our wedding wonderful beyond words. We still cannot believe that it was our wedding and not some glam a-list couple from the magazines!

You pulled off our vision amazingly - my mum got the stylish wedding she had always wanted for us (she is still talking about the centrepieces!), and the food, band and decor will be the talk of friends and family for a while to come.

Most importantly, we have genuinely never felt happier. Our wedding was more beautiful and romantic than we could have imagined.

As Jamaican born New Yorkers, we had always known that we wanted to marry in Jamaica, but due to time and other constraints, did not have the opportunity to visit Hummingbird Hall prior to our wedding day (we actually married five weeks after getting engaged).

We therefore had to plan our entire wedding quickly and online without seeing the venue or sampling the food or cake - a situation which, at first, made us very apprehensive. Thankfully we were incredibly lucky to hear about Hummingbird Hall through a forum and can now boast the most stress free and fun wedding planning experience!

The staff at Hummingbird Hall are fantastic - especially Alisha who cheerily responded to our request for pictures (pictures and more pictures), answered emails quickly, patiently took numerous three-way calls with our families to make sure everything was just right and even liaised with the passport office to ensure that my sister's Jamaican passport was issued in time for our wedding.

From start to finish it was a genuine pleasure having Hummingbird Hall host our wedding. The food was sublime, staff courteous and decorations really set the tone for what was a magical day.

We had our wedding at Hummingbird Hall and it was totally fabulous. I couldn't have asked for a better Venue. I searched the whole of Montego- Bay. Hotels, Villas and other Venues... nothing matched up to Humming Bird Hall. So again thank you Humming Bird Hall for giving us the best day ever.

I highly recommend this venue! Hummingbird Hall is an amazingly beautiful place and the service is equally fantastic. I was expecting perfection and they surpassed my expectations. Fast and accurate communication with people who genuinely care about what they are dong. I felt so welcome and so stress free.

Hummingbird Hall is simply wonderful. We had a beautiful simple sunset elopement ceremony followed by a private dinner surrounded by candles with a butler under the stars. It really could not have been better.

Hummingbird Hall has some fantastic tips to create a lively, unique and entertaining cocktail hour.

Leave clues and hide gifts around the gardens of Hummingbird Hall to keep guests occupied and also enjoy the beauty the gardens.
Fill balloons with helium and strips of paper that detail random acts of kindness. Ask guests to burst the balloons and then fulfil a do-good deed as the "favour".
Ask your videographer to "interview" willing guests for well wishes or marriage advice. You'll love watching this years later.
