Definitely Dubrovnik!

Our Wedding in Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is simply the most beautiful wedding destination.

Ben and I have always been keen on travelling and seeing new countries and we actually met in a train station in Split, Croatia 5 years ago.

We were both inter-railing with friends and we stumbled across each other whilst waiting for a train. We all got talking and travelled together around Eastern Europe for the following week. The relationship went from there!

We couldn’t decide where to get married in England, me being from the south and Ben being from the north. A traditional English service just wouldn’t have been a reflection of us, and so we thought it would be fitting, and different from any other wedding that we’d been to, if we went abroad.

Our guests seemed to really enjoy coming abroad and a lot of them probably wouldn’t have thought of going to Croatia for a holiday before coming to our wedding. Lots of people commented on how relaxed and happy the day was and everyone seemed to have a good time.

We tried to give our guests help with finding accommodation and cheap flights. It isn’t the easiest place to get to cheaply and you have to search for good deals but some of our guests got some really good bargains on their flights and accommodation! I think some of our guests would like more friends to get married abroad now, as it was a good excuse for a holiday!

So my vote for Best Wedding Destination goes to Dubrovnik!
