David Bacher PhotographyDavid Bacher Photography – Telling the story of your wedding in pictures David Bacher is a photojournalist based near Paris who shoots weddings in a very natural and spontaneous style. His goal is always to tell the story of your wedding day in pictures that seem to make the event come alive. 
David approaches a wedding like a day long documentary photo project. He usually begins photographing the bride, and or groom during their preparations in the morning. This is a wonderful opportunity to get artistically creative shots. He also pays attention to capturing small details like the bride’s bouquet, her shoes and her wedding dress. 
Subsequently he follows all the events that take place throughout the day, including the various ceremonies that may take place, the cocktail and dancing in the evening. Of course this depends on the organisation of each individual wedding and David takes much care in discussing such details with couples either by email, Skype, or in person.

My husband and I were married in July 2010. We were a little apprehensive about coordinating a wedding in France from our home in Seattle. We found David through a wedding planner and found his online portfolio beautiful. We loved the range of work from weddings to wildlife photography. Our first venue fell through several months before the ceremony, after our guests had purchased airline tickets. But, we found a replacement that was even better than the first. And luckily David was flexible to change locations and was easy to coordinate with from abroad. On the day of our wedding, David blended into the ceremony and reception. My husband and I liked that he did not make our wedding experience centered on taking photos, instead he used his eye to capture candid moments of us and our guests. We did take a couple large group photos, and photos with different pairings of friends and family. A few hours after the ceremony, he recommended that my husband and I go outside at dusk to take photos. The lighting was perfect! Just a couple of weeks after the wedding, we received a dvd in the mail back in Seattle with the edited photos, with complete copyrights to them. This allowed us to send copies to our friends and family that attended, as well as make customized photo albums for our parents. Overall, David is a true delight to work with. He is friendly, easy going, and professional. He took amazing photos and that’s the best wedding present we could ask for.
