cyprus wedding package

There are a number of Tour Operators who offer wedding packages in Cyprus. Many specialise exclusively in organising weddings in Cyprus whilst others offer packages to numerous destinations, with Cyprus being just one of many.

Find the best Cyprus wedding package

Cyprus wedding packages will vary depending on who the Tour Operator is, however most Tour Operators use the same base formula for their wedding packages. The way they deliver their services and combine special offers with their packages is what differentiates the Tour Operators from one another.

Most Tour Operators have affiliations with a number of hotels in Cyprus. If you book a wedding package your wedding ceremony can either take place at a hotel, the local town hall or in a church and your wedding reception will generally take place at a hotel. There are numerous options available ensuring your dream wedding in Cyprus will be possible.

Initially when you start looking into and contacting Tour Operators who offer packages for a wedding in Cyprus I recommend you take the following into consideration:

  • Your first impression of their service. Were they friendly and helpful?
  • Were they able to answer all your questions?
  • If they needed to return your telephone phone call or send you information how long did this take?

They say first impressions count and in most cases the type of service you initially receive will be a good indicator of the future level of service you will be likely to receive when planning your wedding abroad.

Something you should be aware of when booking your wedding through a Tour Operator is you will generally be looked after by two teams of people. A team in your hometown will book your wedding package handling the practical arrangements such as the date, time & location of your wedding and ensuring you meet all the legal requirements. Then once you get to Cyprus all the arrangements will be handed over to a team on the ground who look after you and ensure your wedding runs smoothly.

If you don't like the idea of having two different teams of people arrange your wedding and would feel more comfortable dealing with the one contact, then using a wedding planner instead of Tour Operator may be another option to explore.

Following is an example of what is offered by Tour Operators as part of a standard Cyprus Wedding Package. Obviously each operator's offering will vary slightly so I would suggest investigating a number of companies before you make your final choice.

A Standard Cyprus Wedding Package may include the following:

  • A personal on site wedding co-ordinator
  • Administration to obtain your marriage licence
  • Celebrant to conduct civil wedding ceremony
  • Transfer to and from wedding ceremony
  • Wedding cake
  • Bridal bouquet of flowers
  • Buttonhole for groom
  • Bottle of champagne
  • Photos

Additional Extras can be tailored to suit your individual requirements. These usually include:

  • Wedding reception or candlelit dinner for two
  • Live music at wedding reception
  • Bridal hairdressing
  • Beautician

Many tour operators provide free extras or have special offers. Examples of these being:

  • Room upgrade to next category
  • Wine, flowers & fruit on arrival
  • Accommodation discounts for your guests
  • Free services such as bouquet, photography, video when you have a certain number of guests attending your wedding
  • Free accommodation for bride & groom if a certain number of guests attend wedding
  • Health club vouchers
  • Flower arrangements in the rooms of the brides & grooms parents
  • Champagne breakfast after wedding day
  • Early booking discounts

Hot Tips

Getting a Confirmed Wedding Date

When you book a Cyprus wedding package many Tour Operators will advise you the week your wedding will take place but will not confirm the actual date of your wedding until closer to the time.

Although the Tour Operator will have booked the date for your wedding with the Marriage Officer or Minister / Priest they prefer not confirm the date with you in case they need to change it.

If you would like to know the exact date of your wedding, you can contact the Marriage Officer or Minister/Priest directly and they will confirm the date of your wedding for you. Alternatively if you are insistent your Tour Operator will be obliged to tell you the date your wedding is booked for.
