My little Herbivore...and Shaping Up for Your Wedding Day!

My 4 year old recently came home from nursery and told me that one of her teachers was a “herbivore.” I couldn’t help but have a little inward chuckle and then explained to her that unlike animals, if people don’t eat meat they’re called “vegetarians”.

I’m really lucky as Amber has always had an adventurous palette and will eat and try just about anything. However, when she found out her teacher was a vegetarian, she firmly insisted that she was one too! So, for a few days any form of meat or fish I served up got promptly removed from her plate!

The irony of this whole scenario is that I actually eat very little meat myself but in the same week that my 4 year old claimed she was a “vegetarian” (how does that happen!), I had just embarked on a new “eating plan” to shed those couple of extra kilos that had crept on over the winter! I purchased the book the 17 day di*t plan and to kick start things off, it initially calls for protein with each meal (in the form of lean white meat, fish and eggs etc). So there I was with a fridge stocked full of meat and fish and my daughter was now a vegetarian...it would be been much more convenient, if this “phase” started when I was on Carol Voderman’s 28 detox plan!

So, for anyone wanting to shape up for their wedding day, I can highly recommend both the books shown below. They have both worked for me and follow what appear to be sound nutritional principles, which I think is important! I’ve had quite a few friends follow Carol Voderman’s Detox and the results have been fantastic and have put a spring in their step!

Amazing Bridesmaids Dresses ...1 Dress, 15 ways to wear it!

When planning her own wedding in Jamaica, Ariane Goldman didn’t want her bridesmaids to spend too much money on dresses that they’d never wear again.

So she set out to find a solution to the widespread debacle: how to enable your closest girlfriends to look and feel beautiful at your wedding while maintaining consistency and elegance for the pictures that will last forever.

What Ariane came up with was the most amazing dress – her concept is brilliant and the dresses are elegant and stylish ...and I believe, perfect for a wedding abroad. I would definitely hop over to her website if you need a little inspiration...I’m certain you’ll have happy bridesmaids if you do!
